Dear Julius,
I appreciate your story and your willingness to share it openly. You certainly have had a long history with The Family and I am sure that it has/is a struggle for you. You also sound like a very responsible person, a man who cares for his children.
Whatever your reasons were for leaving The Family, I commend you for realizing that you need help, need to recover, and am actively seeking help. Also, that you want to provide a stable present and future for your children.
My suggestion, Julius, is that the better you do the better your children will do. To the extent that you are able to heal and process the issues from your time in The Family, and also deal with the trauma you have experienced, to that extent your children will have a future. It may seem like you cannot afford to take the time to devote to your own healing, but for their sakes you cannot afford to not heal. Then you can truly be the father and parent before God you desire to. Take care.
