Is it Illegal for a pastor to severely control?

Mr. Pardon,

I have a sister who has two children. She attends a house/church in Texas. She has lived with the pastor and her husband for 6 years. Her children are ages 15 and 10 years old. The pastor is a "woman" and her husband is her co-pastor. I believe women can pastor churches, but in this case it is truly a controling woman and her defeated husband. My sister is 34 years old and has been through a lot of trauma in her life. There are a lot of aches in her heart and I know the pastor takes advantage of her mind. At this time the pastor has my sister conviced that if she leaves her ministery she or her children will die. My sister is also convinced that if she speaks to me she will leave her ministry because of the "evil spirits in my life". Sir, I have been born again and spirit filled since October 3, 1989 with a life of salvation ever since; through Jesus Chirst. I would like to know if there is any legal responsiblilites this pastor has for the abuse and fear they inflict upon my sister and her children? It is huge! Even though it appears as though my sister stays there on her own free will?
Some expamoles of control and abuse are:
1. shaving my nephews head because of "His Pride". At age 9
2. forced fast
3. forced prayer meetings days on end. (10 days and more)
4. do not talk to family members.
5. how to make offerings.
6. My niece has her hair cut very short, like a boy to make her unattractive.
7. They tell her she has spirits of lust, must be ugly.
8. Pray prayer that people will die, be divorced and speak of ramming the sword of the "WORD OF GOD" into people and their ministries.
9. Always suspicious of witches and evil spirits.
comming after them, all the while the pastor brags of her power to deliver people of demons and evil lifestyles.
10. Pastor and Her husband help people and then strip them of their self respect and confindece in God. Terrible verbal abuse.

I attended this church for 3.5 years, 6 years ago. I left due to control and severe abuse. I have others who have witnessed and experienced all of the things, I could tell you. I do not want to be charged with slander for speaking evil of this woman and her church, but there is a serious problem with the Pastor and her Husband and how they believe people should serve God. I have had to be patient and in prayer for my sister and her children. I have been introduced to your ministery by Andrea who feels your ministry could give us insight and wisdom about this tragedy in our lives. Thank you for your consideration.

Kind Regards,
Brenda S
