I am in Las Vegas this week on business. We have a show that we put in every year here around this time. For the last three years or so, we have stayed at Palace Station, which is a hotel and casino on the north end of town.

This property isn't as well known as the hotels on the strip, but we are able to get rooms here at a very reasonable rate, which is important since we bring in 10 people for about a week.

Well... it wasn't very well known until a couple of days ago, that is. Palace Station has been all over the news because it was the hotel that OJ Simpson is said to have comitted an armed robbery at earlier this week:

I was sitting here in my room earlier this afternoon, watching CNN and they kept playing a shot of the hotel. I kept moving the curtains around to see if I could see myself on CNN. It was pretty funny.

There is a parking lot at the back of the hotel filled with media crews. I never had any idea that my quiet little hotel would become a hotbed of international news attention this week.
