Our place was used to grow cotton so the land is pretty depleted. The grass is sparse in the field but is getting greener around the house because of the dogs.
But in the spring, this tremendous swatch of green blankets our yard, and makes me weep - wild onions. When I mow, I use a face mask and goggles, but I still end up choking from the fumes. The place smells like a giant salad for days.
It has pretty white flowers, though, and they look nice with the blue-eyed grass and primroses we get in the Spring.
