The shelter folks named him "Pickles." Not sure what that implies about his personality--maybe he has a way of getting into a pickle? He's someone's abandoned pet, so he's well socialized to human touch. He showed up as a stray on the back porch of a cat lover, who brought him to the shelter about a month ago. He's gentle and affectionate. I've attached a pic of what he looks like.
I'm going back to the shelter on Saturday to play with Blue Pickles some more. If he's still interested in interacting with me, I'll probably bring him home.
So what happened to Lover Boy? The staff had him in quarantine last night. It seems that "Fred" likes to fight and needed a time out. So he's a lover AND a fighter!
The Big White Male (Casper) continues to ignore me. He sleeps a lot. That's par for the course where cats are concerned, but he might try waking up long enough to do some bonding. Well, Casper served his purpose--he drew me in and purr-sueded me to come back for more cat therapy.
