As for me, whenever I hear these words, "the lord has already shown...." that's a giant red flag. Who is to say what the Lord has shown or not shown???? Anybody can say that, it doesn't mean it's true. The best thing for this couple is to get counseling. Either through their minister or a qualified family counselor. Asking friends is sometimes a very bad idea. Although well meaning, they could be steering this couple into deeper waters simply because they do not have the expertise. How can people on a board help when they don't know all the facts.
