Here is a picture I took of Jane on our hike out of Virginia Lakes. This trail goes all the way into Yosemite, though we've never taken it that far. We did hike it about 12 miles a few years ago from Green Lakes back into Virginia Lakes.

The lake she is standing above here is called Blue Lake. It is in the Hoover Wilderness, with nothing around it (cabins, campgrounds, etc). It is an easy hike from the trailhead near Big Virginia Lake. After this lake, it gets more steep and rugged.
