In Response To: Traffic in the 3rd world (EBW)

I went to Honduras a couple of months ago, and was amazed by the traffic there. Drivers are not as aggressive as Italians, but it's close, and traffic lanes are not observed at all. You might have 4 or 5 cars driving abreast on what should be a 2-lane road -- and they don't mind driving in lanes that should be for oncoming traffic. Once, I even saw a car driving, not only on the wrong side of the road, but ON THE SIDEWALK in a SCHOOL ZONE! And a double stripe on a winding mountainside highway seems to actually make passing obligatory. Scary!
