That's one thing the cities in Europe really had over Los Angeles. Public transportation was fantastic. We have terrible public transportation here.
There really wasn't a lot of pressure to get to the train station at any particular time, because they had trains leaving for everyplace all the time.
The only time we really got messed up was coming out of Rennes to Paris. It was Sunday, and a Holiday. We got to the station around 11AM, but all the trains were sold out until about 3PM. We just had to wait, but that train was a TGV (Bullet Train), and it was probably worth waiting for.
