Here I really do drive everywhere. I have business in San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas. I drive there all the time.

On Monday, I'm taking a rare airplane flight to Las Vegas. I probably haven't flown there in 5 years or more, though I go there at least twice a year. I'm only flying because I have to come back the same day. When I'm spending a few days there on a show, I drive and that way I have my car all week. Even with the suburban only getting 11 miles to the gallon, it is still cheaper than flying and renting a car for a week.

I've got the drive to Las Vegas to the point where it only takes me about 3.5 hours, but that's with the cruise control set on 80, and not stoping from the time I leave my driveway until I pull up in valet parking at whatever hotel I'm staying at.
