Jane is away this weekend selling Gourds out in Temecula. I'm holding down the fort.

Casey is doing better every day. She still has a few major coughing fits a day, and usually one or two while trying to sleep. But, that's down from about 20 a day a couple of weeks ago.

She returned to school last week for half-days, and will go back to full days next week.

Casey was absolutely the sickest of all of us, but we have all been recovering. A few days ago, Jane coughed so hard that she broke blood vessles in her chest. Actually bruised herself by coughing.

Once or twice a day, I'll get coughing and start to choke a bit. But, none of us has been close to as sick as Casey was.

Today, Casey and I decorated the outside of the house for Christmas. I put up lights under the eves and along our front fence. Casey helped me and made a christmas tree out of garland. It was nice to be outside for several hours, but it's amazing how hard it was physically. Going up and down the ladder, things like that. I'm getting older, but I think it's more the lingering effects of the illness than anything else. But, you just have to push on, I guess.

Apparently, we can look forward to the symptoms taper off, but to still be around in one for or another until sometime around Christmas.
