Yesterday was the little Reds Holiday program at her new school. The teacher had told me that there was a little surprise for us. I had no idea what it was going to be. I know that the little Red is too shy to sing solo, so it couldn't be that. Before the program began I was taking some video of the school grounds, remembering when I used to go there as a kid. I video'd the front area, the bell hanging in it's tower and the front cover of the program flyer because it was such a delightful drawing of a Christmas scene.

A few moments later the teacher sees me. She asks if I figured out the surprise yet. It was the drawing on the program! The little Red had won the drawing contest at the school and her drawing was picked for the front cover of the flyer.

I am so happy for my little artist. She draws constantly. And has ever since she was tiny. When she was crying in preschool all they had to do was hand her a piece of paper and a pencil. So here is Caseys Christmas drawing:
