My sisters for the most part are supportive. We have an agreement to call each other the minute anything happens. That way we will all be informed of what is going on. My older sister hasn't quite gotten with the program though and didn't call when Mom was in a minor fender bender with her truck. I once again had to get after my sister about not calling. I live less than five minutes from my Moms house. I could have been there immediately but no one called me and I didn't know about the accident until the next day.

My other sister and I have a agreement to talk at least once a day. She is the one who is moving back home to be with Mom. Mom will live in the little back house and Donna gets to live in the big house.

My brother is mad at us and thinks that we are just after Moms assets. He only comes around once a year or so and doesn't really know the situation. I am giving him space to cool off. We had always gotten along really well our whole lives and I'm hoping this doesn't mess it up.

In either case, I am not going to let anyone take away my Moms lifestyle from her. I promised her that I would make sure that she got to live at her home with her ponies and dogs till the day she dies. Even if I have to protect her from herself.
