Many years ago when my son was a very small child he was watching me put on make-up to go out somewhere that night. We were in the tiny little bathroom off of the master bedroom in the house we used to rent. He was sitting on the top of the toilet watching with great delight. When I was done I turned around and said "So what do you think?" He gave me the biggest happiest smile and in his little 6 year old way said " You look like a clown!" Needless to say I washed off the paint and haven't worn any since. And to think that the poor little thing was trying to give me a compliment.
