WMP has a playback speed adjustment. Click on "view" on the menu bar and then click on "enhancements" and follow it to "speed adjustment". You can then change it to normal. If you do not see the menu bar at the top you may have to click on the "maximize" button on the top right of your player.
Then again, it all depends on which version you have.
