I have XP and know how to go and erase cookies and temp file history with two easy clicks. But I didn't know how to erase the deskbar history. Well I found out how. It may be simple and already known, but I like having this option. If you have windows xp and I have aol, I click on settings then scroll to the T's and click on toolbar settings and then click "Clear history trail".
