When I got a VCR a long time ago, and after much concern about pirated copies of stuff, anytime I would rent a movie that had some sort of built in protection, it would cause the tracking to go haywire and I couldn't watch the movie. I had to take the VCR and get a fix on it for the thing built into the VCR that reacted to the movies. It was called a "VAS" fix. Whatever that means. They had to disable whatever was recognizing most major movies I bought or rented for my VCR. Do you think they are doing this with newer cars and their CD players?
