Well I would definitely love to do that soon. Right now we are in a major dispute with our slum lords. We pay 670. for a small one bdrm apt. which is high in Houston for the condition of the bldg. It looked nice when we moved in but we were told they did not think they could move us in because of serious foundation problems but they were able to "fix it up". We have been here 7 1/2 mos. and have had an intermittenly running toilet (Bathroom in our bedroom, close to our bed)which the management would not use a plumber to correctly rectify. Not until we finally got in touch with channel 13's Marvin Zindler. His dept. made a call to our apts. and FINALLY we got the running fixed. But there are serious foundation cracks and doors that don't close etc. It is a rental MONEY PIT. We are trying everything we can to get out of our year lease. They offered to move us to another crappy apt. but that is too much stress to move and then have to move again in just a few months. The owner is a billionaire who lives in New Jersey and his Jerk for a brother owns the management company that manages the property. They spent two whole days putting flowers in the beds at the office and turning the soil, mulching, putting on a good face in case Marvin comes with his cameras. They were so rude to me in the office. I made a very reasonable proposition and they flat told me they don't let anyone out of their lease for any reason. Well I told him FINE. I will use every means at my disposal to remedy the situation. He told me that was a threat. I said it wasn't, it was what a person HAS to do when dealing with a GARDEN VARIETY SLUM LORD.
Hope we are in a place where we can celebrate Christmas and not be looking at cracked walls and ceilings and tiles. >:'P
