My wife, Mignone.gave me this idea about, specifically, the screens.

There are these little bug beasties called "no-see-'ums". They bite like crazy, and fit nicely through most screen mesh.

However, you can obtain some light oil, and mix it with bug killer before applying it to the screens, and that will kill them.

Ask locals about what kind of oil, and what kind of bug killer--yes, there are some organic fluids that'll do the job, too.
