Pacing and subtitles

I agree on the pacing of the movie but I fault this with the film makers and editors. By the end of the movie I was squirming in discomfort. As I said before, I wish it were done by a more polished film maker who would be able to remedy this fault.

And another thing, if you had no knowledge of the story beforehand would you have understood what was going on? One of the faults I find with "Christian" movies is that they are made with the Christian in mind rather than making them palatable for the general populace. i think that they could have cut that entire scene on the sandbar and STILL retain the tension of the event. Like I said...creative editing. At least they didn't spend time defining theology.

On subtitles: since the Grouch is hard of hearing he watches ALL movies at home with subtitles, mainly to keep peace with neighbors and to spare the Grouchmate the embarassment of explaining it to them. Because of this he is quite adept at using split vision to read without missing action, but I sympathise with you.
