I haven't seen Jarhead, but being the romantic that I am, I saw P&P as soon as I could! I loved it, but I liked the BBC version better because there was enough time to really go into the character development and story line, it was truer to the book. The movie did a good job, I don't think they actually added anything to the movie to beef it up, but there were things left out due to having to trim down a book to fit into a movie.

Jane Austen is one of my favorite old authors, I've read almost all of her books, and Pride and Prejudice is my favorite of them all.
