I also just love that time-period and Jane Austin's stories always touch the female heart.
If you haven't seen it, you MUST see the version from 1940. http://imdb.com/title/tt0032943/
It is just terrific. In fact, it was because of one of the actresses in it that I learned website building (long story)
Anyway, the acting, direction, everything is perfect. I've got a copy of it and I'll never let it go.
Another film you'll like is: Sense and Sensibility
> Saw both of these last night while I was
> babysitting. My daughter doesn't have cable.
> Pride & Prejudice is my kind of movie -
> I love those old English movies and
> classics. I liked the actors/actresses.
> Can't tell you who they were, but some of
> them I've seen in other things. Oscar, you
> would not care much for the movie, I think,
> but Lolo, you definitely would. If you liked
> Sense & Sensibility, you would like this
> I saw Jarhead. While I was watching it, I
> called my son who is a Marine to ask him if
> it was an accurate movie or if it was all
> hyped up. He said it was pretty much exactly
> what it was like being in Kuwait and Iraq.
> It didn't have much of a story line that I
> could tell, mainly just a descriptive movie
> of what it was/is like for the military who
> were/are over there.
