For several years now, I have been trying to find a movie that I saw back in the 80's. I can't remember the name of it nor any of the actors.

It's about an angel that comes to the help of a little boy who is confined to a wheelchair. The angel comes disguised as a clown. No one knows where he came from or how he gets in -- it's just a mystery.

It seems that the boy is the son of some corrupt politician or something like that. In the end the angel is persecuted and he protects himself by using miraculous powers.

Has anyone seen a movie similar to this one or who knows the name of it?
