Just in the past week or so we have seen four movies, Lonesome Dove, Eon Flux, Glory Road and Firewall, in that order.

After reading Joseph's post on how he bought Lonesome Dove for under $20, I found it on Amazon for $8 and ordered it. I LOVE that tv movie, I love the characters, and I absolutely LOVED the book! The last time I'd seen this one had to be at least 10 years ago or more so I was anxious to see it again just to be sure that it was as good as I had remembered. You know how it is sometimes, your memory tells you one thing but when you see it again you wonder what it was that you liked about it before? Well, I wasn't disappointed! I think the dialogue between the two main characters is what I liked the most. Woodrow Call and Gus MacCrae, played by Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duval, couldn't be any more opposite in character, and the give and take between them is a good part of what makes the story interesting. To my mind, one of the best Westerns ever and THE best tv western, period!
