The demographics of potential buyers shows a market that was born AFTER O'Conner's career had already eclipsed, so it IS possible that her past will have no bearing on the success or failure of this project. Add to this the gullibility of the "Christian" marketplace and Sinead just might find success. Here's a quote from the article that made me hoot in derision: "“Yes, her past is checkered, but I think for many people it's not inconsistent,” said S. Brent Plate, a professor at Texas Christian University and author of “Blasphemy: Art that Offends.” “There are plenty of lesbian Christians . . . and plenty of Christians with checkered lives.”" Can you BELIEVE it? Has the Body of Christ become THAT indistinguishable from the world?
