This book is a story about one Chinese man and how his life changes as he goes from poverty, to extreme poverty, to wealth.

I found this book in a box about 20 years ago and read it. I had heard about it all my life and then when I read it I could see why.

If you get a chance, read this book. Yeah, it's about China back in, I think the 30's, but it's very interesting. Very well written and as you read it, you feel like you're right there.
