It was interesting when the film Grease came aroud again and was a hit with my kids. At some point I had to explain that it wasn't a film made in the 50's, it was actually made in the 70's about the 50's.

It was really my generation acting like my parent's generation.

In 1977 or 1978 I was in a play with Annette Charles, who had just finished playing "Cha-Cha" in the movie Grease. She was the girl who won the dance contest with John Travolta. I don't know if the movie had been out very long then. I don't remember it being a big deal at that time. I guess if it were we would have sold more seats. But, then she probably wouldn't have been doing a play with me!
