As a matter of fact I HAVE! And I loved it! Neeson has the right "hang dog" look about him to play the lead. Just mentioning it prompts me to want to check it out again.

And not only have I seen the movie, I have actually read the book, all 1000+ pages of it, while I was in high school! It really impressed people that I would read something that long because I wanted to!

Another historical movie that I have seen a few times is "A Man For All Seasons" starring Paul Scofield and Robert Shaw. When it came out in 1966 my whole Catholic high school class went to see it because it dealt with the conflict between Henry VIII and Sir (Saint) Thomas More who would not renounce his Catholicism.

It was a successful play that translated well to the screen with a minimum of Hollywood-ization.
