(LTX) Archuletta is also my favorite--he's the main reason I'm watching AI this season. However, I haven't been watching it consistently because some of the performances are downright painful, such as Archuletta's watermellon rendition of "We Can Work It Out." Despite the fact that some of the competitors' performances aren't very good, I get annoyed with Simon's constant carping. On the whole, the show doesn't always entertain. I don't get a lot of pleasure from hearing otherwise talented singers bomb because they've selected something that is inappropropriate for their vocal range & style or because they haven't practiced enough.
