When it first opened on Broadway I of course knew nothing about it because I live pretty far away from there. But my older daughter, the big red was going to a performing arts high school for singing. Their singing group started singing adapted songs from Rent, like 525,600 Minutes. Later the play opened in Los Angeles and we went to go see it. Twice.

Someone said it was like the "Hair" for todays generation.

I enjoyed the heck out of this play, songs and all. It was heartwrenching. I wonder if the movie is going to be any good.
