By the way,"Surprised By Hope" had me surprised by slumber. Rev Wright could easily have lopped 100 pages from his book. After the first few chapters I realized that his method was to present an idea or thought and then spend paragraph after paragraph rehashing it. After a while I found myself dreading lunchtime because that is when I get to read the most. I just got tired of falling asleep!
For the most part Wright's ideas are mainstream evangelical and there wasn't much in it that I haven't already considered, BUT...to each their own. If you and ray enjoyed it then maybe it is Oscar that has a problem
In the end my library wanted the book back so I had to return it unfinished.
