I once saw LaPAglia in a movie called "Lantana" , a moody murder mystery in which he plays a cop (surprise!). I wasn't aware that he was an AUssie but seeing as the film was set in Australia I was thinking "Boy, he sure isn't trying too hard with the dialect, he going in and out of it like he's forgetting his role". Imagine my surprise when I discovered he IS Australian!

Jean-Baptiste, on the other hand, gave little hint of her origins till I saw her on a public service announcement on tv. Obvoiusly a Brit!

It's really interesting, now that I know their origins, tolisten to their speach in character. Both actors take on a hard, clipped, east coast type of accent that makes you think "Where were they raised?" They do pretty well.
