The TV is off-limits to me till Winter Olympics close this weekend, so I'm catching up on my reading.
I've tried watching "House" a couple of times, but I just can't get into it. In interviews, Hugh Laurie seems like a nice guy. I'm very impressed by his American accent (he's British). But his the megalomania of his "Dr. House" character -- his attitude that he is such a gift to medicine that he can treat (mistreat) people any way he wants, and they should be happy to grovel at his feet, enduring any insult, just on the off-chance that he might toss them a diagnostic crumb -- puts me off to the point that I can't enjoy the show.
