I hear what you're saying about some bluegrass bands. The Seldom Scene had this guy in the band named John Duffy, now deceased, who had a high falsetto voice and played the mandolin. I really like his high wailing sound. Did you see the movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou? I have that CD; it became very popular.

Emmylou Harris sings a few songs on the Seldom Scene CD that I have. She sings one piece called Satan's Jeweled Crown. It's not your typical piece. Guess that nasal sound doesn't bother me.
