...definitely in the eye of the beholder. I can't even draw a circle so almost ANYTHING artistic inspire awe in me. On the other hand, stuff that is sentimental doesn't appeal to me. Thomas Kinkade art, although loved by many, just gives me a pain! Too idealized and unrealistic. I guess it just makes me feel like someone is trying to jank my chain emotionaly.

At the San Diego art museum there is this 5 foot by 8 foot painting of a forest scene that I could sit and contemplate all day. There is also some modern art that makes me reach for the Pepto Bismol. If you were to visit my home you would see precious little in the way of artwork on the walls. We DO have mirrors and other wall hangings, just very few pictures.
