Some changes are coming up for us here at the homestead. My husbands son, in agreement with us, has decided to go live with his brother in a neighboring country. He became virtually impossible to deal with, so we agreed. His brother left the group when he was 16, so I imagine P. feels he can leave us and his education (which he intends to extend to an apprentiship in he knows not what. The positive note is that his brother is fairly mature, has been down that road and P. respects him enough...we hope...to listen to him. I'm sure he'll teach P. more than we can from this point.

Please pray that the Lord makes this last week a happy chapter for him and his dad. They have been at swords point most of the time. Please pray especially that there are no ill feelings especially on P.'s part, but also on Val's.

Val has been very discouraged about it. He's poured his heart and soul into that kid for the last four years and we've both done everything humanly possible to help him get at least generally aimed in a proper direction. He's fought it all the way, but he's doing somewhat okay. He's a typical 16 year old, soon to be 17, and wants his freedom badly. We have all been there.

Please pray whenever you think of it. He's leaving on Friday and Val is driving him. Pray they have a safe trip and for Val's safe return. There are 100's of fatal accidents on that highway every year. And pray that the Lord encourages my poor Val.
