Hi there! I read your post on gout the other day and wanted to say that I, too, have had a few attacks in one of my big toes over the years. In my particular case, it seems to happen when I'm under extreme stress and numbing my pain with food - over eating. I am not too overweight although I could lose 10 pounds. I can just eat and eat and eat and it won't show. In fact, I'm tall and thin. Nevertheless, the dumping of extra food into my system must be creating an overload that my circulation just can't keep up to. I've noticed that dairy products and chocolate bars seem to bring it on the most.
