Hi Lolo, I was going to research more about this today, if I can get to it. One observation is that if you have problems with nephritis (spelling?), kidneys, urinary tract infection and gall stones, these all may be symptons that your system is not working up to par, and you should consider on changing a few things in your diet and lifestyle to bring your system back up to health.
I would agree with Ironsides that more water is a first step. I don't know much about the stones, but they come from a build up of minerals, right? If you are putting a lot of water through your system it will help flush out the things your body is using to form the stones.
It takes water for every system of your body to operate, even to process herb tea requires water. Your body is approx. 70% water. When you breathe out into cold air and you see the fog from your mouth, that is water, which shows how much water your body is using with every breath you take. Water is extremely important. If you weigh around 100 pounds you should drink at the minimum 6 cups of water a day, increase if you're sick. Make a routine of it, when you wake up, down a cup, keep a bottle with you all the time. Add some lemon or grapefruit oil to the water for flavor, or even peppermint which has been studied for its effects on curbing the appetite.
I'm trying to find a recipe I came across recently for naturally passing gallstones. From what I understand it's not a yummy recipe, but it works.
I'll look into herbs and oils that support the kidneys and urinary tract and try to get some info up soon.
From my studying you can pass the stones without an operation, it is possible, but as I said about Diabetes, it requires determination and sticking to the regime. If you can find a holistic or ND healer in your area, perhaps you can consult with them.
What other symptons do you have? Could you find out your pH level? Are you acid or alkaline. Do you have candida in your system. What is your metabolism like, what about your thyroids, are they normal or over/underactive? Blood pressure? Do you fatigue easily, do you get at least 30m. of exercise a day, the kind that will bring a sweat and increase your breathing?
And what about emotional and mental things, have you faced problems in those areas recently, are they resolved, do you have support?
These are just some of the basic questions I would want to find out from anyone who in seeking for advice in bringing their body up to par.
I really will try to get to this today, tomorrow at the latest (I teach my kids English today, have aikido, so my work hours are limited).
Take care and I'm thinking about you! (do we have emoticons at this site?)
