(this is a repost from down below, perhaps you'll find it interesting)
I have to agree Ironsides, a lot of our present rejection of the medical system is based on our past background from Berg.
I like what Scully said to Mulder once, "Why not thank God for the miracle of modern medicine?"
Which is why I prefer to be educated before I do things, and I read up and study about a sickness and the whys and wheres of it, what I can do naturally before going to the Dr. But I would NEVER hestitate to go if I didn't understand something or it was beyond me, nor would I hesitate to tell someone to get themselves to a professional.
But as far as many drugs and medicines go, I also know from research that a lot of it is just as dangerous as the disease, and the pharmaceutical companies are mainly driven by money, otherwise you would have more FDA approved herbs.
One reason the FDA doesn't approve herbal and natural treatments is cause you can't patent, for instance, dandelion. So who wants to go to the trouble of years of research and tests and submitting papers for approval to the FDA on a weed that can be grown by anyone in their backyard? There is no profit in it.
Many medicines are synthesized based on one or two components of a herb. The scientists isolate one of the components, then reproduce it in their labs. What are they using to reproduce it? In a lot of cases these synthesizations are based on petroleum. What does you body do with the petroleum? It can't use it, and if it can't flush it out, it stores it. How does it store it? In the form of tumors. A lot of tumors are just the build up of chemicals and stuff your body can't utilize but can't get rid of.
Water--drink it!
Chemical products-avoid them!
On another point about the Family-
I study essential oils and specifically how to use them for healing, not aromatically, but for sickness. If you study the Bible, you will find out that "anointing their head with oil" actually means using an essential oil, in the Bible case it was most likely frankincense which is a very powerful healing oil and many people have been healed through using it, and by anointing the head, the oil enters the brain and triggers a chemical (natural chemical) response in your body that tells your body, "Hey, you're sick, get with it!"
The oils can be rubbed on parts of your body for effect too. The oil molecule is so small that it can enter directly into the cell and help your cell get back to health, as vs. herb molecules which are oftentimes too large to enter the cell and need the help of enzymes for your body to process them.
It's all very iteresting, and I laugh at the way we used to grab some olive oil or even coffee on occasion to pray over someone who was sick. When in reality, it's not like it was a complete miracle of healing in the Bible, but you used the nature and its gifts from God to communicate and connect with your body and restore it to health. Quite amazing really.
