I would have to agree on that. I used to fast at least once a week and sometimes twice before diabetes kicked in.

Now if I go to long without eating I get real weak so I dont even consider a fast now a days where as I used to be able to go on a 3 day fast in the past, but the only time I fast now is a partial fast when I need to get blood work done per doctors order.

Every so often they have to run tests to see how the over all blood sugar over a period of time is and to do that they have a person fast from midnight till the next day when they draw blood to check it.
