I'm awfully glad the "twilight state" has finally been acknowledged to be a
part of life, rather than a part of the process of dying, as it has so often
been portrayed in art and life. People in Comas are treated as just an
almost-dead thing by far too many (and any is too many) doctors and
institutions and longterm care people, and some of their respiratory
therapists, anaesthesiologists, nurses, orderlies, and of course the
patient's relatives. If she has a lot of money, forget it; the greedy
relatives will get it all, but only when she dies, and some relatives and
potential heirs are impatient. BUT only if they are not the cause of her
death can they inherit her money and properties! Twilight States don't count.
Many of us have been there done that. I heard one of the croakers pronounce
I would guess that a very high percentage of comatose peeople would wake up

me dead. I also saw the white coated jerk pronouncing me dead. I felt
wonderful, nothing hurt, until I was able to make a noise that earthlings
could hear. Upon re-entry I hurt like holy hell but had to satisfy myself
with being intoxicated all the time on opiates and other things, just as I
had the week before, when the first surgery happened. Anyway, I think
everyone should realize that a coma is the mind's ultimate defense against
unbearable pain. It feels better than the opiates. In fact, it feels
wonderful. The person who is in a twilight state is totally stoned out on his
own endorphin complex, dreaming, tripping, whatever it takes to get through
the worst of the worst stuff. The idea is to give a person time to finish the
trip, either by waking up or by dying in spite of all possible efforts to
prevent the death. I think the word of the day is
eventually if they were not "given up" (murdered) before their bodies'
internal alarm clocks had sounded. To this day, I have times when I feel
uncertain that I am not in a coma, dreaming all this. The "flashbacks" are
empowering when they happen, because they remind me of my own apparent
immortality, and make me kind of like more fearless. Comatose women can give
birth to healthy babies. Sounds like a fully alive woman to me, except for
that unconscious thing. Don't ever write off a living person as hopeless,
always keep them fed and clean, and wait for their awakening, and totally
expect them to come back, or stay away altogether. If the unconscious one is
a person with hearing, they'll probably hear most of what anyone says around
them. I would like to know what this experience is like for Deaf people. The
name Not Dead Yet refers to people in line for involuntary euthanasia
(murder), often because the proposed victim has been in that pleasant state
for a long time. America was founded by the Puritans when Cromwell was
finally offed for his efforts to stamp out all things that could bring a
smile or a laugh to anyone in Britain, and his evil followers fled here to
establish a dour and funless colony of their own, based upon their religion,
which apparently required them to snuff the local natives to make way for the
world-hating Puritans.
"conservative" country, and to this day they are still afraid that somebody
somewhere is feeling better than Cromwell would have liked them to have,
waking, sleeping, passed out, or comatose. Some of these Late Puritans still
run things, in cahoots with the corporations, which gives them a lot of power
to carry on the XXI Century descendant of the Witch Trials they used to love
so much, this time abandoning all pretense that it is for any of the victims'
supernatural doings, and cutting to the chase, as in "all you crips are under
arrest, but it's okay. We're only going to throw the book at these two women
over here because they're well-known witches, I mean crip activist
troublemakkers... but you all had better stop doing this right now and
forever, or you'll all end up in the inaccessible pokey. We know you're in
league with the Devil - I mean with David - I mean with ADAPT - I mean with
IRAPS - I mean, you're going to be our scapegoats!" Support them, folks,
beefore they are burned like a well-done steak!
