Peanuts are actually fall into the legume catagory and not the nut family, and from what I've heard are not the best choice and are better avoided, (esp. if you have an allergy to them). My friend recently told me that women esp. shouldn't eat peanuts.
I only use olive oil to cook with, but my husband also has a 0 tolerance to oil and grease, so our meals are very light with little oil, we don't ever deep fry, cause if I make an oily meal I have to make something separate for him and it's a hassle.
Something else I read said that all those vegetable oils are waste by-products and have chemicals added to them so they can be sold. I need to find the information again. Freaked me out.
