If taken in good faith I dont think we need to fear. Ive been taking it off and on for "years" and I havent suffered any ill effects. I have diabetes and high blood pressure and take a medication for the blood pressure that is a beta blocker, but I think you said it best, its de-glycyrrhizinated licorice root, the glycyrrhizin-a compound associated with high blood pressure has been removed.

So its really up to you, not every herb affects everybody the same but from what you said it sounded like it was helping you. Its just like with medicine the doctors give you for a certain ailment, for some folks it works and others cant tolerate it.

Were you feeling any discomfort while you were taking it? If not I would continue to take it if you were benefiting from it, (at least for a month and a half "according to that article", give it a chance to heal). Any way thats the way my faith works. God bless, Widdle guy
