On a different tack....

Does anyone just take in lots of soy products? I mean, I've never taken hormones and feel OK, emotionally, mentally [although a 2nd opinion might be had from close friends and family!]. I've been eating and drinking soy products for years, partly because I'm allergic to milk fat and substituted soy milk, and partly because I thought it was sort of a natural supplement? Also, I've had a mostly vegetarian diet and a good exercise routine until my most current job.

I still have a fair amount of energy...gained about 8 lbs. from recent sedentary employment & get tired more easily than I used to, but then, I'm getting a little older. [I'm also 58.] My focus isn't as sharp, but hey...

Maybe it's an exception, lack of symptoms and so on? Has anyone else navigated through menopause without hormones, without [too much] discomfort? Do these substitute hormones add energy or mental clarity...or ? What effects are experienced, positive, negative from people here? Just wondering....would appreciate any specific personal input on this. I've actually purposefully avoided hormone therapy because of an apprehension about reactions, longterm health effects and so on that have surfaced in news articles on occasion.
