How interesting. Yes, the ingredients found in your cleansers and lotions are just as important as how you take care of your skin. Generally, using a soap is not good for your face, it strips off the natural oils causing your body to produce even more oil to compensate. I switched about a year ago to completely natural face products, and began to make my own toner, and my skin has shown the sign in a better balance of oils, I don't have dry patches in one spot and oil in another, pimples have decreased (I also have upped my water intake).

I was taught that if you can't eat it, don't put it on your skin, since your skin absorbs it right into your body anyway. Check the labels of your products for SLF, any petroleum, any fragrancing products, any coloring chemicals, these are all unnatural and not good for you.
