Hi Charlie,
The person who told you that the rash is a sympton of an inner problem is right, at least from a natural health perspective. Psoriasis and excema are definitely related to the digestive system and a cleansing is very good for those situations, as well as trying to determine where the allergy or toxins are coming from. You can treat the rash, but it's true, it is just dealing with a sympton rather than the source of the problem.
I read this recently:
A girl gave her mom a bottle of wolfberry juice (very high in antioxidants). Her mother drank some and got an incredible rash on her arm so she stopped drinking the juice and the rash cleared up. After a week she tried drinking it again and this time the daughter encouraged her to continue drinking it cause it was possible her body was cleansing out toxins that had somehow built up in that area. So the mother continued, though the rash began to heat up (fevered) and weep (gooey stuff oozing out), but it healed up and now the mother is fine with the juice.
The point is, the anti-oxidant juice was causing her body to release the toxins. She could have stopped at that point and not continued, but if so, she would still have the toxin in her body which could have lead to another sickness.
On another note about the rash, it could just be for a number of reasons, but first try the cleansing and see what happens. Your body may develop a rash if it starts releasing toxins, but this is a good thing. Let me know what happens, I can recommend something to help with the rash. Lavender oil, german chamomile, peppermint oil, all are good for relieving itchiness and rashes. I have a general all-purpose balm I use frequently which is made of olive oil, beeswax, comfrey and goldenseal powder.
