Paul's "Revelation of Jesus Chris" is really based on his REINTERPRETATION of the OT stories and symbolism of the sacrifices, priesthood, temple, tabernacle etc in the Law. He was not taught it but given it by revelation. HOW? As he said in 2Cor when the Jews read the OT they have a 'VEIL' over their mind but when they turn to Christ the Veil is taken away. The 'revelation' is being able to see INTO the spiritual realities contained in the OT. "OPEN thou mine eyes that I might BEHOLD wondrous things out of thy LAW".

They were freed from obedience to the law. They still 'studied' the scriptures and the only scriptures they had was the OT. which they had to 'rightly divede' and not screw up like the Pharisees did.

Cause they had the "VEIL" over their mind. Plus they had the oral traditions of the Talmud running in the minds too.
