In Response To: "Back then"????? (ebw)

Full preterists (also called hyper-preterists, though they prefer "consistent preterists") believe that Daniel 9:27 is 100% literal when it says that the 70 weeks "seal up the vision and prophecy". They believe that Mt. 24 refers to the fall of Jerusalem, and that ALL prophecy was fulfilled at that point; that the second coming happened in 70 A.D, and that the resurrection, the judgment, etc. were all fulfilled spiritually, in the New Birth.

Partial preterists (including me) believe that Mt. 24 is PRIMARILY about the fall of Jerusalem, but disagree about whether some parts may have a later fulfillment. The Son of Man "coming on clouds" is interpreted to refer to Christ's appearing BEFORE GOD to receive "all authority...in heaven and in earth" (Dan. 7:13,14; Mt. 28:18. The "angels" ("aggelos" - messengers) would then be those who are sent to gather in the elect (Mt. 28:19,20) -- US.

In the partial preterist view, the antichrist and the Great Tribulation are past, though some see continuing tribulation, in lesser degrees, as a feature of the entire period between the time of Jesus' birth at Bethlehem and the Second Coming, which is seen as yet to happen, along with the general resurrection, judgment, etc.
