Lydia, it is because of articles like this recently posted one that people "defend" gays and lesbians. You know as well as I do that heterosexual couples talk about things just the same as homosexuals can, same with crimes. No group is immune from corruption. But neither is a group categorically bad as many would like to paint them to be JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
That is where the hate factor comes in. You may want to contact an organization like Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFlag) for information. No, not graphic stuff, just understanding about a socially maligned group of people without a just cause, and to understand that to a gay person their sexuality is just as normal to them as sexuality of a heterosexual person is to THEM.
I would like to see this minority orientation accepted worldwide. I would like to see the USA catch up to most of Western Europe regarding this population. There is no Gay Agenda. There are watchdogs when it comes to anyone's human rights being violated. A movie you may want to watch to understand more is an oldie but a goodie with Matthew Broderick and Anne Bancroft called "Torch Song Trilogy".
