Ask, Seek, knock, call, beg, plead... the Bible really says a lot about prayer, and it does say ask & you receive.
The point of the 'commanding God ' study is NOT that God doesn't answer prayer, of course He does. AS His children He wants us to cry out to Him.
However it all is accordiing to His will. God is GOD of all, and He did not put Himself under our command like (as Berg said) the genie of Aladdin's lamp. He is God of all, and we can beg and plead for His help and we will assuredly get His help, but the help will come according to His will, His plan, in His time, in His way etc. He is GOD and that means He is in charge, not us.
